Floating solar power plant.
As a smart city project, solar energy would be exploited in a big way and tenders were called for a 2 MW, floating solar power plant on Mudasarlova reservoir, he said. A proposal for generating 5 MW on Raiwada canal would also be pursued. Tenders for 2 MW solar power on 170 GVMC buildings, including 144 schools, have already been called.

Mr. Hari Narayanan, who completed one year as Commissioner, said he was happy about contributing to the city emerging as the third cleanest city at all-India level. Besides, improving education infrastructure in municipals schools and introducing digital classrooms was a matter of satisfaction for him.
