Land handed over for IT Towers.
The State government has sanctioned ₹25 crore for the construction of IT tower in Karimnagar town for the benefit of local youth to secure employment in the IT sector, said Collector Sarfaraz Ahmad.

The Collector along with Karimnagar legislator G. Kamalakar, MLC Naradasu Laxman Rao, Mayor S. Ravinder Singh, Municipal Commissioner K. Shashanka and others inspected the site on Thursday on the shores of LMD Reservoir on the outskirts of Karimnagar town. The site is adjoining Journalists Colony.

On this occasion, the Collector said that they had identified a total of six acres and were immediately handing over 4 acres of land for the construction of IT tower.

Karimnagar legislator Kamalakar said that Minister for IT K. Taraka Rama Rao had sanctioned ₹25 crore for the construction of IT tower in Karimnagar town abutting the proposed Manair River Front (MRF). He said that they were planning to visit USA in October to invite NRIs to set up IT firms in the IT tower to provide employment to local youth.

MLC Laxman Rao said that the IT tower would help the Karimnagar town progress rapidly on all fronts. He said that it would be a boon to the engineering students and others to secure employment locally.
