6 Industrial projects in AP to get incentives
Six industrial units under construction in the State have received State Government support and subsidies according to the new Industrial investment policy for 2010-2015.
State Principal Secretary and Commissioner of Industries K. Pradeep Chandra, in separate Government orders issued last week, has outlined various incentives these companies are entitled to as per the industrial policy.
As per the policy, they are entitled to 50 per cent rebate on value added tax and central sales tax for a period of five years from the date of commencement of production.
Krishak Bharat Cooperative Ltd (Kribco) has proposed a fertiliser complex with an outlay of Rs 1800 crore in Nellore district.
Consumer goods major Procter & Gamble’s Mahboobnagar project is with an outlay of Rs 370 crore.
VBC Fertilizers & Chemicals Ltd is setting up a urea plant along with a captive 2x67.5 mw captive power plant at Jayanthipuram village in Krishna district of the State with an outlay of Rs 7578 crore. Sentini Infra is setting up a glass containers and float glass manufacturing unit at West Godavari with an investment of Rs 600 crore. A green coke cum calcination facility has been proposed by Sanvira Industries Ltd in Visakhapatnam. It will have a co-generation capacity of 25 MW. The project cost is put at Rs 360 crore.
UPI Polymers has proposed a Rs 165-crore polyethylene pipe and corrugated pipe manufacturing unit in Nellore district of the State.
Idupulapadu Cotton Mills has planned a Rs 108-crore unit in Guntur district. It has proposed a ginning, spinning and cotton seed oil refinery project.
All these new projects will also get 10 per cent reimbursement of stamp duty and transfer duty paid by the industry on purchase of land meant for industrial use. They will be extended fixed power cost rebate of 75 paise per unit for five years.
The Government will ensure creation of related infrastructure necessary for setting up of these units.
