Chandigarh units’ plea to RINL

Visakhapatnam: The Chandigarh Industrial Fasteners’ Association has urged the Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Ltd (Visakhapatnam Steel Plant) here to maintain a steady supply of Plain MS Round at the Chandigarh stockyard of the company, as the units in the city are facing acute shortage of the component required for the manufacture of fasteners. In a press release issued here on Tuesday, Mr A.L. Aggarwal, the president, and Mr Pardeep Aggarwal, the secretary, said the RINL should immediately send at least 1,000 metric tonnes of MS Round of 16mm to 25 mm to mitigate the hardship of the units “which are on the verge of closure.” —
