GERC Approves Revised Power Purchase Agreement for GMDC's Kutch Project.

The Gujarat Electricity Regulatory Commission (GERC) has greenlit amendments to the Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) of Gujarat Mineral Development Corporation (GMDC) for its 250 MW power supply from the Akrimota Thermal Power Station in Kutch district, Gujarat.

According to a statement released by GMDC, the revised PPA includes several key amendments aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and sustainability. These amendments encompass increased operation and maintenance (O&M) costs, higher return on equity, adjustments in station heat rate to minimize energy losses, and enhancements in auxiliary power consumption to improve overall efficiency at the thermal power station.
