NH widening work begins.

Concrete work to mark the beginning of NH widening work began at Thovalai recently in the presence of the Union Minister of State for Road Transport, Highways and Shipping Pon Radhakrishnan.

The foundation stone for the work was laid by the Union Minister for Road Transport, Highways and Shipping Nitin Gadkari on January 19 this year.

A release from the minister’s office said that former MLA Mohamed Ismail inaugurated concrete work in the presence of former MLAs Pon Vijayaraghavan, John Jacob, Nagercoil Municipal Chairperson M. Meena Dev, State vice-president of the BJP M.R. Gandhi, former minister Lawrence and NHAI officials.
