PMK slams govt. for delay in project.

PMK founder S. Ramadoss recently slammed the State government for not taking any measures to construct a barrage across Kollidam river, which was announced four years ago. In a statement, he noted that the ₹400 crore project was announced by former Chief Minister Jayalalithaa in 2014.

“The people who took over the government after her also did not take any steps towards constructing it. Even the land for the project has not been acquired. As a result, the cost of the project has escalated to ₹600 crore,” Dr. Ramadoss said.

He also said that PMK would extend support to the road roko called by farmers in the region on December 20, urging faster implementation of the project, along with various other demands.
