Vanguard to Establish GCC in Hyderabad, Plans to Hire 2,300 Employees.

US-based investment management firm Vanguard has announced plans to establish a Global Capability Centre (GCC) in Hyderabad as part of its global expansion strategy.

Managing assets worth $10 trillion and serving over 50 million investors worldwide, Vanguard will officially inaugurate its Hyderabad office later this year. The new facility is expected to employ 2,300 professionals over the next four years.

The decision was finalized following a meeting between a Vanguard delegation, led by CEO Salim Ramji, and Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, along with top state officials.

Vanguard executives stated that the company will immediately begin recruiting engineers specializing in artificial intelligence, data analytics, and mobile engineering for its Hyderabad operations.

“Vanguard’s office in India marks a significant milestone in its global expansion, building on a decade of collaboration with third-party partners. This move will allow the company to directly access talent and enhance its technology workforce globally,” a Telangana government statement said on Monday.

The Hyderabad GCC is set to become an innovation hub, supporting Vanguard’s IT mission, AI strategy, data analytics capabilities, and mobile-first initiatives, further strengthening the firm’s technological edge.
