Vizag-Chennai corridor: AP official seeks white paper.

Andhra Pradesh Planning Board Vice-Chairman C Kutumba Rao has questioned the claims of some BJP leaders on the funds released for the Visakhapatnam-Chennai industrial corridor and alleged that “the leaders are indulging in a deliberate misinformation campaign to malign the TDP government in the State.”

He was speaking to the media here on Wednesday. He challenged the BJP spokesman, GVL Narasimha Rao, to ask the Centre to release a white paper on the funds released and the status of the Visakhapatnam-Chennai corridor.

He said the Centre had failed to release funds for the development of the corridor and was showing a partisan attitude towards the State.

Kutumba Rao said that the BJP leader, who hails from the State, should strive to secure funds from the Centre for the State’s development. The industrial corridor passing largely through Andhra Pradesh was critical for the development of the State.
