VW Group starts 2 units for spares distribution and return in Pune.

Volkswagen Group India recently announced the expansion of the Regional Distribution Centre (RDC) which was started last September, and opened a new Centralised Warranty Parts Return Centre (WPRC) at Chakan (Pune).

While in the first phase, the RDC focussed on supporting export markets, it will now cater to domestic customers.

Present at the inauguration were Gurpratap Boparai, Head of Volkswagen Group India; Justin Nolte, Director – After Sales and Vehicle Logistics, and Vinod Prakash Shivhare, Head – Parts and Vehicle Logistics.

Designed in co-operation with Volkswagen AG worldwide, the RDC will distribute components to its Parts Distribution Centres in the NCR and Bengaluru from where supplies will be made to dealerships and service stations.

For dealerships in Western and Central India, the Pune RDC will directly supply spares to ensure that customers get one-day delivery.
