Chennai Angels invests Rs. 2 crore in Chai Kings.

The Chennai Angels (TCA), an angel investors group recently announced an investment of Rs. 2 crore in the city-based chai retail chain, Chai Kings. Started as a single store in Kilpauk in late 2016, Chai Kings currently has 8 stores in the city offering varieties of exotic tea ranging from milk, black, herbal and ice tea in flavours such as ginger, masala, sulaimani, dum, lemon and hibiscus. “This funding proceeds will be used towards adding retail stores and to strengthen our service operations,” said Jahabar Sadique, Co-Founder & CEO, Chai Kings.
