Era Infra gets Rs 650-mn contracts

Mumbai: Era Infra Engineering Ltd through their construction & contracts division has bagged contracts worth Rs 65.5 crore from Birla Tyres and Alps Industries.

The company has executed contracts for the clients previously and has been awarded fresh contracts for their expansion. The contract involves the construction of two tyre plants for Birla Tyres at Haridwar, Uttarakhand, at a cost of Rs 55 crore. Both plants are scheduled for completion by April 2009.

The order from Alps Industries involves construction of a weaving and processing unit at Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, at a cost of Rs 10.5 crore. This is scheduled to be completed by February 2009. The combined value of the three contracts exclude the cost of cement and steel, the company informed the BSE.
