Laghman province to get 130 uplift projects
Mehtarlam: Officials in the Laghman province informed that over 130 uplift projects have been under taken in provincial capital and in other districts of the province.
Tor Gul Arafan, an official in the governor house said work on Alishang Road has been completed while contracts for construction of Daulat Shah District Road has been signed.
He said construction of foot-paths in provincial capital and installation of solar electricity system has been completed during last three months.
Lightening of the provincial capital, Mehtarlam had restored the confidence of the people on government, Arafan added.
Completion of the projects will bring facilities for the people and will increase government credibility, he pointed out.
On of road-paths in provincial benefit ordinary people He explained, technical advisors had important role in preparing proposals for projects. There had been positive changes in daily activities of the official that were trained by technical advisors in different sectors, he continued.
The technical advisors have also trained the officials about some important programs in computer that were useful for their daily works in the office, he said, adding governor Lutfullah Mashal, members of technical board and other officials have surveyed all the projects in the provincial capital and in districts.
The attendants were able to put their complaints in a special box put in front of the governor house, he remarked. This has not only reduced complaints but also helped in taking prompt action on them, he added.
The technical advisors have been embedded in government offices for the past year and a half under the Local Governance and Community Development program, which is funded by the US Agency for International Development.
