MG Motor Accelerates EV Production Amid Soaring Demand, Eyes Global Export Expansion.

MG Motor India is experiencing robust growth in the electric vehicle (EV) segment, with its Halol plant in Gujarat now operating at nearly full capacity. The automaker plans a significant ramp-up in production over the next two to three years to address the escalating demand for its EVs, both domestically and from select international markets.

Currently, MG's Halol plant boasts an installed annual capacity of 110,000 units. The company confirmed that it's producing at almost full strength, with critical operations like battery manufacturing and the paint shop already running three shifts to maximize output.

This intensified production push underscores the strong traction MG Motor India is witnessing in the burgeoning EV space. The strategic decision to increase capacity and explore export opportunities positions the company to capitalize on the global shift towards electric mobility.
