PowerGrid clears investment proposals.

Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd. has cleared seven investment proposals totalling ₹ 2,510 crore in a board meeting recently. The largest investment amongst the seven is for a system strengthening project in the Southern Region, which would cost ₹1,455.47 crore, and would be commissioned in 30 months progressively from the date of investment proposal. Investment approval was also given by the board for connectivity of the third and fourth unit in Kundakulam to the inter-State transmission grid. The project cost is ₹162.11 crore and will be commissioned progressively over the next 28 months.
