AP Govt to Establish Global Medicity in Amaravati via PPP Model: CM Naidu.
The Andhra Pradesh government will establish a global mega Medicity in Amaravati through a Public Private Partnership (PPP) model, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu announced recently.
Speaking to the media in Amaravati, Naidu said the Medicity will span 200 acres—100 acres dedicated to healthcare services, 40 acres for residential facilities, and 20 acres for commercial development. The project will be jointly executed by the state’s Health Department and the Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA).
“This initiative will not only enhance healthcare infrastructure but also promote health tourism in the state,” Naidu said.
He also noted that the Central government is planning to set up 25 Medicities across India, and discussions are underway to bring one of them to Amaravati.
