Bajaj Hindusthan to invest Rs 10,000 Cr on thermal power project in UP New Delhi: Bajaj Hindusthan, plans to invest up to Rs 10,000 crore to set up 1,980 Mw thermal power capacity in Uttar Pradesh.

The company already has an MoU in place with the state government for setting up thermal power capacity of 2,430 Mw.

The 1,980 Mw (3X660) coal-fired power plants are being set up in Lalitpur district.

The project would entail acquisition of 1,500 acres in Mirchwara village, about 60 km from the source of water at Rajghat Dam in Lalitpur.
