BEML and DCIL Ink ₹350 Crore MoUs to Boost Dredging Capabilities.
Bharat Earth Movers Limited (BEML) has signed three Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) worth ₹350 crore with Dredging Corporation of India Limited (DCIL) to enhance self-reliance and boost capabilities in the country’s dredging sector.
The agreements focus on three key areas - the supply of indigenous spare parts for DCIL’s existing dredger fleet, the design and construction of five inland cutter suction dredgers, and the provision of cable dredgers, long-reach excavators, and customised dredging equipment for reservoir de-siltation and inland waterway development. As part of the collaboration, BEML will be responsible for the supply, maintenance, and lifecycle support of dredgers and related machinery. DCIL, on the other hand, will oversee the deployment and operational management of the equipment across maritime and inland waterway projects, strengthening India’s dredging infrastructure and technological capabilities.
