Cinepolis aims to reach 400 screens mark in next three years.

Mexican multiplex chain Cinepolis aims to reach the 400 screens mark in India by 2017, its Managing Director Javier Sotomayor said recently.

The official was speaking at the launch of the second biggest megaplex in India with 14 screens at Viviana Mall here.

Cinepolis, with this new addition, is now operating 100 screens across India, he said. The company plans to invest around Rs. 1,000 crore by 2017 and expand to 400 screens across the country, he added.

The megaplex here is equipped with six concepts -- Cinepolis VIP, IMAX, 4DX, Dolby Atmos, Real 3D and 4K projection systems -- under one roof.

The complex will be holding around 72 shows on a daily basis, ranging in six languages, he added.
