Haryana government to construct 251 new power substations: Ajay Singh Yadav.
To strengthen power transmission and distribution system in the state, the Haryana government plans to construct 251 new substations of different levels and augment capacity of 373 existing substations, Power Minister Ajay Singh Yadav said recently.
After inaugurating a 66 KV substation at village Baliar in Rewari district of the state, he said that to cater increasing demand of power and to give qualitative power supply at proper voltage, the government has proposed a plan of Rs. 4,400 crore under which the Haryana Power Utilities would construct one substation of 400 KV level, 29 of 220 KV level, 12 of 132 KV level, 19 of 66 KV level and 190 substations of 33 KV level.
Capacity of four substations of 400 KV level, 35 of 220 KV level, 70 of 132 KV level, 64 of 66 KV level and 200 substations of 33 KV level would be augmented, a statement quoting the minister said here.
