Larsen gets construction orders in Oman

Mumbai: Engineering firm Larsen and Toubro said it has bagged orders worth Rs 1,198 crore for construction related works in Oman.

In a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange, L&T said its Oman arm has won orders which include construction of a hotel for the second Asian Beach Games, a mosque and underground cabling.

Under the contract to build the hotel, the company will have to construct marine apartments and administrative buildings for the game as well as an athletes' village.

The project is scheduled to be completed in less than two years. The construction of mosque is scheduled to complete within 35 months.

Besides, the company has received an order from Oman Electricity Transmission Company for cabling works of 60 km that is to be completed in 18 months.
