Manipal Health Systems to set up clinical care centres

Bangalore: Manipal Health Systems has signed an MoU with Kentucky Children’s Hospital, University of Kentucky in the UK, for setting up centres of excellence in clinical care, medical education and research.

The aim is to develop inter-professional approach to healthcare delivery and implement models for care of chronic diseases.

The two organisations plan to increase their international presence through the tie-up and enable professional exchanges between their medical personnel through video conferences, digital archives and e-mail exchanges.

The two plan to share knowledge on cystic fibrosis and establish a centre for diagnosis and management of the problem.

This initiative will include the setting up of a sweat chloride testing facility and train physicians and other professionals in multi-disciplinary approach to CF management.
