Marg is foraying into Wagon fabrication business

Infrastructure development firm Marg is foraying into railway wagon fabrication business. The company won a Rs 38-crore order from Braithwaite & Co, one of the largest wagon manufacturers in the country.

The project is being awarded to industrial project division of Marg Group, the order that includes fabrication and assembly of 247 of BTFLN wagon (frameless Bogie Tanker Wagon used primarily for liquid petroleum products) in BCL workshop.

This also includes supply of components and consumables except raw steel. The time-frame to complete the project will be seven months (40 wagons a month as specified by BCL).
