New plastic park to drive industrial growth in Telangana: Minister.

The proposed plastic park to come up in Maheshwaram mandal near and the new industrial policy will help the plastic industry in the state to grow, according to Jupally Krishna Rao, Minister for Industries, Telangana.

Speaking at the inaugural session of the polymer conference 2016 organised by the Telangana and Andhra Plastic Manufacturers’ Association (TAAPMA) here on Friday, the minister said the park would come up on 100 acres of land with a focus on re-imposed plastic and component units.

'There are 8,000 plastic units in the two states, and 6,000 of them are located in and around Hyderabad,' Krishna Rao said, adding that plastics were one of the 14 thrust areas in the new industrial policy of the state.
