Road Expansion Works Reviewed.

The city being part of the capital region, the Krishna district administration has set its eyes on quickening the process of land acquisition for expansion of various highways.

Reviewing the progress of works related to Vijayawada - Bhadrachalam, Hyderabad-Vijayawada, Vijayawada-Machilipatnam, Gundugolanu-Vijayawada and Hanuman Junction bypass roads recently, district collector Babu A

stressed the need for better coordination among NH officials and those of revenue, power utilities, and irrigation departments for speeding up the process.

The collector said that he would oversee the progress of land acquisition once in 15 days.

Those who attended the meeting included sub-collector S Nagalakshmi, NH officials K S S Rao, K Karhtika Reddy, Ch Vidyavani, deputy transport commissioner B Venkateswarlu and irrigation SE C Ramakrishna.
