TSIIC plans model plastic park.
The Telangana State Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (TSIIC) has prepared a proposal for shifting the plastic units spread in and around the City to Chandanvelli village of Ranga Reddy district by setting up a model plastic park with international standards in 200 acres.
After holding a meeting with the officials and the plastic manufacturers’ association here on Monday, TSIIC Chairman G. Balamallu stated that another green plastic cluster would be developed in 100 acres at Mankhal-Thummalur for expansion of the plastics industry. Managing Director of TSIIC E.V. Narsimha Reddy, president of Telangana, Andhra Plastic Manufacturers’ Association Venugopal, its functionaries V. Anil Reddy, Bhiman Bhandari, Prem Kankaria, Rajgopal Mandhani and others attended the meeting.
The association representatives requested the Government to allot sites for setting up their units located in Kattendan and other areas in Mankhal park. Mr. Balamallu assured them that he would take up the matter with Industries Minister K.T. Rama Rao. He asked the association representatives to visit the land at Chandanvelli in Shahbad mandal and stated that the Government was ready to give another 100 acres land for the proposed model plastic park there.
Further, he stated that the Mankhal plastic park would be developed as pollution-free industrial estate and about 50 units could be set up there with an investment of about ₹500 crore.
