Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath inaugurated and laid the foundation stones for 660 projects valued at a collective ₹202 crore in the district of Mirzapur. During the Nari Shakti Vandan program at Babu Upraudh Inter College Ground, CM Yogi noted an increase in devotees visiting the sacred place during Navratri compared to previous years.
Highlighting the construction of a grand corridor in Maa Vindhyavasini's Dham, the Chief Minister explained that this corridor would enhance facilities for devotees and create significant employment opportunities for the region's youth.
He emphasized the Prime Minister's unwavering commitment to ensuring respect and opportunities for women, stating that the state government is diligently working to fulfill this commitment through various schemes.
CM Yogi stressed the importance of recognizing the strength and potential of women, stating that no society can be truly strong and influential while neglecting this significant demographic. He noted that Prime Minister Narendra Modi initiated the "Beti Bachao Beti Padhao" program in 2014, which marked a significant turning point, emphasizing the integral role of women in the nation's political agenda.
The Chief Minister highlighted the strides taken in women's empowerment, which not only serve as a model for India but also gain global recognition. He mentioned initiatives like the Jan Dhan Account, Ujjwala Yojana, Saubhagya Yojana, Health Insurance Cover, Housing Scheme, Ownership (Swamitva Yojana) Scheme, and the enactment of the Nari Shakti Vandan Act during the first session of parliament in the new building.
CM Yogi emphasized the profound symbolism represented by Maa Vindhyavasini, Maa Ashtabhuji, and Maa Kali, showcasing the essence of existence through this triangular representation of feminine strength.
During the event, the Chief Minister distributed certificates, laptops, and toolkits to women beneficiaries of various schemes. Eleven outstanding women were recognized with the Vindhya Shakti Samman for their contributions to fields such as folk music, education, medicine, sports, social service, judiciary, and security.
Before the event, CM Yogi performed darshan and worship at the temple of Mother Vindhyavasini Devi. He also inspected the ongoing construction progress of the Vindhya Corridor and spent time with children on the temple premises, distributing chocolates.
Union Minister of State Anupriya Patel, State Government Minister Ashish Patel, and various other political leaders were present at the occasion.
