15 acres for Basavatarakam Cancer institute at Amaravati.

Hindupur MLA and actor Nandamuri Balakrishna thanked Andhra Pradesh Government for allotting 15 acres for the Amaravati unit of the Basavatarakam cancer hospital and research centre.

Mr Balakrishna, who is the chairman of the Basavartarakam Indo-American Hospital in Hyderabad, unfurled the national flag at the hospital in Hyderabad on Friday.

Addressing a gathering after the Republic Day function, Mr. Balakrishna said that a foundation stone would be laid for a cancer unit at Tullur in Amaravati next month. He said that construction of the hospital would be completed in two years. He thanked the A.P. government for allotting the land.
