Aartech Solonics Collaborates with Army, IIT to Develop Power Module for Military Vehicles.

Aartech Solonics Limited announced on November 21, 2024, the successful development of an Adaptive Alternate Power Module (AAPM) for armored fighting vehicles and artillery guns. The project was a collaboration with the Indian Army’s Sudarshan Chakra Corps and IIT Mumbai.

The AAPM is an indigenous technology designed to supply regulated DC power to military vehicles, such as the K9 Vajra, without requiring the main engine to operate. This innovation is expected to increase engine life by up to 20% during gun-firing operations and significantly reduce fuel consumption.

Engineered to function in extreme conditions, the module can operate in temperatures ranging from +60°C to -30°C, making it adaptable to diverse terrains, from scorching deserts to high-altitude regions.

This development aligns with India’s push for self-reliance in defense technology and showcases Aartech Solonics' commitment to creating advanced solutions tailored for military applications.
