Adani Green Energy Limited secures Gandikota-2 pumped storage project in AP.

Adani Green Energy Limited will develop the 2,250 MW Gandikota-2 Pumped Storage Project in Andhra Pradesh, with the state government issuing an order allocating the project in YSR Kadapa district to Adani Hydro Energy Eleven Limited.

The allocation is expected to further strengthen Andhra Pradesh’s position as an emerging hub for clean energy and energy storage in India. The project will be developed under the Andhra Pradesh Integrated Clean Energy Policy 2024.

The Gandikota-2 Pumped Storage Project is expected to become one of the largest pumped storage projects in the country and a key component of the state’s next-generation power infrastructure strategy. The initiative is aimed at supporting grid stability and enhancing renewable energy integration as demand for clean power rises.
