"Adani Green Energy's Unit Launches 180 MW Solar Power Project in Rajasthan"

Adani Green Energy Limited (AGEL) has announced the commissioning of a 180 MW solar power plant located at Devikot in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan. The plant, inaugurated on Wednesday, boasts a 25-year power purchase agreement (PPA) with the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI).

According to the company, the newly operational 180 MW solar plant is anticipated to generate approximately 540 million units of electricity annually. This electricity output is expected to be sufficient to power over 1.1 lakh households while simultaneously reducing approximately 0.39 million tonnes of CO2 emissions.

To optimize energy generation, the plant utilizes next-generation bifacial solar PV modules and horizontal single-axis solar trackers (HSAT), allowing for enhanced module efficiency and sun tracking throughout the day. Additionally, the plant is equipped with waterless robotic module cleaning systems, facilitating water conservation in the arid region of Jaisalmer.

AGEL's Energy Network Operation Centre (ENOC), operating on a secure digital cloud platform, enables real-time monitoring of the company's renewable energy assets, leading to improved operational performance.

"With the successful commissioning of this plant, AGEL’s operational solar portfolio has increased to 6,243 MW, and the total operational renewable generation capacity to 9,784 MW, making it the largest in India," stated the company release.
