"Air India Establishes Integrated Engineering Warehouse in Delhi"

Air India has announced the commissioning of a substantial warehouse facility in Delhi, a move aimed at facilitating the storage of more than 1,000,000 engineering spares critical for the maintenance, checks, and repairs of its aircraft and ground support equipment. This strategic development is expected to significantly bolster Air India's fleet and operational efficiency while contributing to the growth and strengthening of India's burgeoning aviation ecosystem.

Situated in close proximity to Terminal 3 within the Cargo complex of Delhi Airport's Air Cargo Logistics division, the newly established centralized warehouse spans an impressive 54,000 square feet. Its primary objective is to expedite the turnaround of Air India's flights departing from Delhi.

Campbell Wilson, CEO and MD of Air India, expressed the significance of this world-class facility, stating, "This world-class facility will not only boost Air India's fleet and operational efficiency but will also strengthen India's aviation ecosystem. The warehouse will offer us more proximate access to and better control over our aircraft spares, enabling us to promptly address any engineering requirements, ultimately leading to improved flight punctuality."

The warehouse is poised to cater to the engineering resource needs for the maintenance and service of Air India, Air India Express, and AIX Connect fleets from a centralized location. It consolidates 16 previously scattered and subscale locations in Delhi and Mumbai into a single facility, operating as a hub and feeder network to serve operations throughout India efficiently.
