Amity University to Come Up in Amaravati.

Just a few days after the Private Universities Bill was passed by the Andhra Pradesh Assembly, the Amity University has come forward to set up its campus in the new capital city of Amaravati. “The university will be operational and open for admissions from its own campus by 2017,” AP CMO stated in a press release.

A delegation led by Amity University chancellor and president Atul Chauhan on chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu at his residence recently. During the meeting, the CM said that he wants to encourage the best universities in the world to set up their campuses in the state. He asked the delegation to bring international expertise to construct best campuses in Amaravati and suggested that joint degree programmes be offered to students.
