Amravati plant's 4th unit goes online.

RattanIndia Power, formerly Indiabulls Power, said it has commissioned the fourth unit of Phase-I of the 1,350-MW Amravati Thermal Power Plant in Maharashtra. With the commissioning of fourth unit of 270 MW, the total capacity of the plant at Nandgaonpeth village in Amravati district is now 1,080 MW. The last unit also of 270 MW is expected to go online by this fiscal. The plant is supplying electricity to the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company through its three previously commissioned units and has a power purchase agreement for 1,200 MW with the state discom. It also has an assured coal linkage for the entire 2,700 MW (phase-II is also 1,350 MW) from Coal India.
