AmSafe Bridport sets up new subsidiary in B'lore

Bangalore: AmSafe Inc, a provider of safety and securement products and services to the aviation, defence and ground transportation markets, has announced that its AmSafe Bridport business unit has established a wholly owned subsidiary in Bangalore.

The subsidiary AmSafe Services India Pvt Ltd will focus on the needs of the Indian defence customer base. The operation will initially serve as a focal point for customer service, stocking of critical inventory and providing operational assistance for the Indian market. The company also plans to extend its interest in setting up MRO services and manufacture of OEM equipment.

“We have been actively involved with the Indian aviation industry for the past 15 years and have been privileged to service Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd as well as other military customers. We sincerely believe this move to establish a presence in India will create the opportunity to better serve the growing demands of the Indian aerospace and defence market,” said Mr Neal McKeever, Director and General Manager of Defence for AmSafe Bridport.
