Anand Group forms JV with Swedish co

New Delhi: Anand Automotive Systems has entered into a joint venture with the Sweden-based Camfil Farr.

The new company would be known as Camfil Farr Air Filtration India Ltd, which is a merged entity with the Anand group company, Anfilco Ltd. 'Camfil Farr group holds a substantial majority in the new company, which now operates as Camfil Farr Air Filtration India Ltd.

Anand will continue as a joint venture partner in this venture,' said a company statement. 'Anfilco has been a Camfil Farr licensee for gas turbine air filters and filtration equipment for locomotive diesel engines for a number of years.

Camfil Farr Air Filtration India, the new subsidiary will serve as a bridgehead for the Camfil Farr Group to expand into the local Indian market,' said Mr Johan Ryrberg, Executive Vice-President and CFO of the Camfil Farr Group. Initially, the new company will be integrated with the Camfil Farr Power Systems.
