AP, Project Monitoring Group discuss stalled projects in petro sector.

Andhra Pradesh Government and the Cabinet Committee of Investment (CCI) Project Monitoring Group recently took up issues related to stalled projects in the petroleum and natural gas sector.

State Chief Secretary IYR Krishna Rao met Joint Secretary, Cabinet Secretariat, New Delhi, V.P. Roy, about fast tracking the stalled projects by Cabinet Committee of Investment Project Monitoring Group. Projects in the Petroleum and Natural Gas Sector too were discussed during the meeting.

According to a statement, during the meeting, the Chief Secretary directed the officers in-charge of land acquisition for the railway line from Obulavaripalle to Venkatachalam Port to take it up on a priority basis. This facilitates connection to Mumbai-Chennai-Kolkata line.

Among other issues taken up for implementation were laying underground Natural Gas pipeline across in Andhra Pradesh.

State Secretary Industries S.S. Rawat, Principal Secretary Irrigation Aditya N Das, Secretary Energy Ajay Jain, Principal Secretary Revenue J.C. Sharma and other officials were present during the meeting.
