Clean-tech startup BatX Energies has raised ₹105 crore in a Series A funding round led by IvyCap Ventures, with participation from existing investors Zephyr Peacock, the Mankind Pharma Family Office, the Excel Industries Family Office, and JITO.
The company plans to use the fresh capital to expand its battery recycling and refining capacity, strengthen research and development, and accelerate the development of a domestic supply chain for critical battery materials.
BatX Energies said the investment will support efforts to secure strategic resources such as lithium, cobalt, nickel, and graphite, which are increasingly critical for India's energy security as the country scales electric mobility, renewable energy, and energy storage systems.
In addition to expanding its domestic operations, the company intends to replicate its battery recycling and critical minerals recovery model in international markets facing similar supply chain challenges.
Commenting on the funding, Utkarsh Singh, Co-founder and CEO of BatX Energies, said the partnership with IvyCap Ventures will help the company scale its proven model beyond India.
"Many countries face the same challenge of securing domestic and sustainable supplies of critical minerals, and we believe BatX can play a meaningful role in enabling circular and resilient supply chains worldwide," Singh said.
