BDA Plans 4 Projects Along Ring Road.
The Bhubaneswar Development Authority (BDA) has proposed to implement four town planning schemes, spread across 2,000 acres of land, along the upcoming ring road project in the city.
Speaking at a workshop on 'Development of Peripheral Bhubaneswar - Opportunities and Challenges' organised by Association of Odisha Real Estate Developers (AFORD) recently, BDA vice-chairman Krishan Kumar said the schemes will be executed on either side of the proposed ring road between Tomando and Chandaka. The schemes are expected to cover a stretch of about 16 kms.
Stressing on the need for planned development of the city's outskirts, which are urban extension areas, Kumar said infrastructure development like roads and drainage should be constructed and the town planning scheme was one of the ways to achieve that.
The workshop was inaugurated by MLA Sashi Bhusan Behera. AFORD president Umesh Patnaik said the association is committed to conduct more workshops relevant to urban development so that the city can grow in a planned manner.
