"BHEL Secures Contract from NTPC"

Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (BHEL) has clinched a significant contract from NTPC Ltd, valued at over ₹9,500 crore, for the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) package of the Singrauli Super Thermal Power Project Stage-III (2x800 MW) in Sonebhadra District, Uttar Pradesh.

The contract primarily involves the supply of equipment including boilers, turbines, generators, and associated auxiliaries for the project.

Following the announcement, BHEL's stock closed at ₹268.90 on the NSE, marking a rise of 1.64 percent on Tuesday. Meanwhile, NTPC's stock also saw an uptick, increasing by 1.23 percent to trade at ₹358.20.
