BlackRock Unit to Invest Up to ₹3,000 Crore in Aditya Birla Renewables.

Aditya Birla Renewables (ABREN) recently announced that Global Infrastructure Partners (GIP), a unit of BlackRock, will invest up to ₹3,000 crore-about $335 million-for a minority stake in the company.

The investment includes a committed infusion of ₹2,000 crore (approximately $225 million) and a greenshoe option for an additional ₹1,000 crore (around $110 million). ABREN, a subsidiary of Grasim Industries, said the transaction represents one of the largest primary equity commitments for a minority stake in an Indian renewables platform.
