Chinese co Sinotruk ties up with Overland Trucking.

Chinese heavy duty truck maker Sinotruk has partnered with Overland Trucking to introduce its range of mining trucks in India.

Sinotruk is China's top heavy duty truck manufacturing company established in 1960. The company portfolio consists of heavy duty, medium and light trucks, buses, special purpose trucks and military trucks.

Overland outlined plans to set up a plant to assemble trucks in India and work towards maximising local content and create value for customers.

Two trucks were introduced in the presence of Zhang Houquin, President, Marketing and Sales for South Asia, Middle East and North Africa of Sinotruk, and A Rajasekher Rao, Director, Overland.

Overland plans to later enter into a venture with Sinotruk for an assembly line with an outlay of Rs 150 crore.

Currently, the company has introduced heavy duty truck and tipper for the mining sector.
