CM inaugurates flyover in Tirupur.

Chief Minister Edappadi K. Palaniswami inaugurated the flyover near Tirupur old bus stand through video conference from Chennai recently.

District Collector K.S. Palanisamy said that the 671-m flyover constructed at Rs. 43 crore was expected to ease traffic.

It would enable buses operating towards Avinashi, Palladam and Dharapuram to ply with ease from Tirupur old bus stand.

Assistant Divisional Engineer of Highways Department Rajesh Khanna said that the department had sent a proposal to to the Commissioner of Land Administration to acquire land for approach road from the flyover. After getting his nod, the road would be laid within a month.

The office of the Superintendent of Police in Tirupur got a new building. The building was dedicated by the District Collector in the presence of Superintendent of Police Kayalvizhi, Tirupur City Police Commissioner S. Manoharan and MLAs.The three-storey 35,624-sq.ft. building was constructed at Rs. 6.96 crore.
