'Complete waste-to-energy plants by March next'.

Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu ordered that the 10 Waste-to-Energy (WtE) plants proposed in Visakhapatnam, Vizianagaram, Tadepalligudem, Gudivada, Guntur, Nellore, Tirupati, Kurnool, Kadapa and Anantapur should start generating power by the end of March 2018.

In a review meeting on Wednesday, Mr. Naidu said the WtE plants would be fed by about 4,517 tonnes of waste being collected from 56 municipalities every day. A total of 63 MW of power could be generated at those places, he said, adding that he would monitor their progress every two months.
