Departure terminal 1 D at the Indira Gandhi airport becomes operational

New Delhi: The new domestic departure terminal 1 D at the Indira Gandhi airport will become operational from April 19 this year.

Most major airlines will shift their operations to the new terminal in a passed manner. Only Indian, Go Air and some of the smaller airlines will operate from terminal 1A.

The operationalisation of the new terminal, which will have 72 check-in counters and 14 security channels, will raise the domestic departure capacity of the airport to 10 million passengers annually.
