Detailed Project Report of Patna metro rail project to be ready by August 31.

The Detailed Project Report (DPR) for the Patna metro rail project will be finalised by August 31 next and sent to the Centre for approval, a minister said.

During his reply to a debate on his department's demand for expenditure of Rs. 2,420.94 crore for 2014-15, state Urban Development minister Samrat Choudhary said in the Assembly that the DPR for Patna metro rail project would be finalised by August 31 before being sent to the Centre for approval.

He said the state government has also approved routes for the metro rail project for which a survey was conducted by Rail India Technical and Economic Service (RITES).
