DHL to have oil and gas logistic hub in India

Mumbai: Global courier company, DHL, plans to set up an exclusive hub in India for providing logistic support to oil and gas sector.

Presently it has oil and gas logistic hubs in Singapore, Dubai, the UK and US.

The proposed hub in India will have storage facilities for critical spare parts, equipment and chemicals required for oil and gas exploration.

It has a huge facility in Singapore which caters to oil and gas sector in the South-East Asian countries.

DHL is yet finalise the location for the Indian hub. It plans to have facilities on east and west coasts for onshore and offshore oilfield activities.

DHL has logistic hubs in India for textiles in Tirupur in Tamil Nadu and for life science in Hyderabad.
