ENGIE Secures 100 MW Solar Project with SECI in Rajasthan’s Barmer.

ENGIE has inked a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) for a 100 MW solar photovoltaic (PV) project in Barmer, Rajasthan.

The company said on Friday that this milestone strengthens its renewable energy footprint across India and underscores its commitment to supporting the country’s energy transition with reliable and sustainable solutions.

Situated in one of India’s highest solar irradiance zones, the Barmer project is expected to be commissioned by 2027. It marks a strategic expansion of ENGIE’s portfolio in Rajasthan, which is now nearing 1 gigawatt (GW) of renewable capacity.
