Fresh push for SH road-widening.

The widening of the Nadapuram-Muttungal stretch of the State Highway has got a fresh impetus with the decision of the Public Works Department to seek Central aid in addition to the already sanctioned fund by the State government.

According to official sources, the Centre will be granting the required amount if the road is developed with a 15-metre width.

Recently, the State government sanctioned Rs. 26 crore for the development of the road, which remain a headache for motorists with traffic snarls increasing by the day.
