Gadkari Inaugurates Ram Setu Bridge in Balotra, Rajasthan
Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari virtually inaugurated the two-lane Ram Setu overbridge in Balotra city, Rajasthan, at a cost of Rs. 102 crore. The dedication ceremony to the public took place in a program under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma on Sunday. CM Sharma and Deputy CM Diya Kumari participated in the event through video conference.
The ceremony saw the presence of Minister of State for Industry and Commerce Krishna Kumar Vishnoi, Union Minister of State for Agriculture and Farmer Welfare Kailash Choudhary, District Collector Sushil Kumar Yadav, SP Harishankar, public representatives, social activists, media, and residents of the district.
CM Sharma, in his address, credited the expansion of roads in Rajasthan to the efforts of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Road Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari. He also commended Union MoS for Agriculture Choudhary for his development works in the area. Sharma highlighted that the newly inaugurated Ram Setu overbridge in Balotra city would facilitate travel to Jasol, Nakoda, and Brahm Dham.
Additionally, he emphasized that PM Modi has strengthened the highway network in Rajasthan, even building roads where airplanes can land in emergencies.
In his message, Gadkari expressed that the construction of roads creates new opportunities for employment and contributes to the development of agriculture and the economy. The inauguration marks a significant step towards enhancing infrastructure and connectivity in the region.
